VSP INVESTIGATING CHARLOTTE COUNTY CRASH

At 7:50 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 13), Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 40 a half-mile west of Route 654. A 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling west on Route 40 when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and a mailbox then overturned. The driver, Kenny R. Berkley, 47, of Keysville, Va., was transported for treatment of minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation.
