Victoria Planning for Big Autumn Day Event

VICTORIA – Victoria officials are hard at work in preparation for the Autumn Day event this year in the Victoria Railroad Park with a day of events that will correspond with the Victoria Fire and Rescue Truck Pull at night.

The Saturday, October 13 event will kick off with Teresa Matthews Memorial 5K event starting at 8 a.m. The walk and online auction benefits the Matthews/Inzeo family and is also helping sponsor the Teresa Matthews Memorial Scholarship this year.

Following that, Victoria officials will have fun activities and events all throughout the day that include live music, a Barbecue Cook Off, vendors, games, and much more. There will be caboose tours, pumpkin painting, corn hole, scavenger hunts, and enough family fun activities to keep you busy throughout the day.

Victoria Fire and Rescue officials are planning for another big event as well with their “Pullin’ in the Park” truck and tractor pull taking place that night. Look for additional information on the event in the coming weeks.

Organizers will be having an Autumn Day Event meeting this Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Town office. Anyone interested in helping or participating is encouraged to attend.
