Two Men Arrested in Lake Gaston Tragedy

LAKE GASTON – Following the shocking death of a Lake Gaston area woman last week, authorities in North Carolina have arrested two men.

The two men, identified as Kevin Munn and Lester Kearney, are charged with first-degree murder. They are believed to be involved in the incident that burned Warren County pastor John Alford and killed his wife Nancy.

Last Friday the couple was abducted and held hostage at their Lake Gaston area home where the two culprits had waited for them to arrive.

Nancy Alford was forced to go with one of the criminals to a nearby ATM where she was made to withdraw $1,000 from a bank.

The two men then tied up the couple inside the house and set it on fire. They also stole a Mercedes from the couple’s home, which ultimately helped authorities in their investigation.

Nancy Alford died in the fire, but her husband escaped after suffering from burns and injuries from a beating inflicted by the two criminals.
