Town of Victoria Joins Schools in Helping Provide Wi-Fi Locations

VICTORIA – Lunenburg County Public Schools and the Lunenburg County Public Library System have both set up Wi-Fi at their parking lot locations to help aid students and people with social distancing, being able to work from home and more. Today, most everyone at least has a cell phone or laptop that can use Wi-Fi to get online and find information or work on something. Opening up these locations for using the devices allows students and citizens to access important information as everyone continues to navigate through the current COVID-19 health pandemic.

Victoria officials are joining in to help with this as they announced last week that they would be adding to the Wi-Fi locations available. Victoria officials stated, “To aid the virtual learning environment that is being used by the school system the Town of Victoria is pleased to provide free Wi-Fi Internet access in Railroad Park.

“The service will be available from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. daily.  Please remember to observe social distancing guidelines when in the park.  The SSID of the Wi-Fi is Victoria Public Wi-Fi.”
