We all have hopes, dreams, and aspirations in life.  We spend a lot of time dreaming or talking about what we want.  However, how many of us actually achieve our goals?  Do you spend time with the young women in your life, talking about their life plans?  How much time do you spend actually creating a life plan?  Life plans serve as a roadmap or guide to making those dreams a reality.  Life planning helps all of us notably when:

Life seems out of control.

We need help to make decisions.

We feel lost and need help finding a direction.

Think of a life plan as both a guide and a reminder of what you want to achieve in your life.  That is, a roadmap to show you the steps to realize your dreams and reach your objectives.  There is no reason why we can’t achieve our realistic goals.  Often what holds us back is the fear of failure.  A life plan helps overcome this fear.

A life plan offers a range of benefits.  A life plan helps you realize your dreams by building the confidence to take action.  Your life plan outlines priorities and sets actions on which you should focus.  Knowing goals provides a guide in the decision-making process.  This helps you make decisions that are in line with your goals.  Writing down your goals is an essential element in staying focused.  A life plan is empowering by creating a picture of your abilities.

How comfortable are you that the younger women in your life will know what steps to take to reach their goals?  Are you watching them not moving forward or moving in circles?  It’s not because they are lazy.  It may be because they do not know where to start.  They do not have a plan.

Are you thinking – I do not know how to help my daughter develop a life plan?  On the other hand, are you struggling with your life plan?  Would a seminar help make a list of your life plan?  Good News!  You can attend a free one-day workshop presented by Celebration Women.  The workshop is designed for young ladies ages 12 to 22 to help meet this need.  This is a chance to take a moment and look at your choices, your choices for today, and your choices for tomorrow.

Appomattox native Shana Canada, author of The List, will lead the workshop.  On Saturday, August 12, she will share a beautiful God-given story with the goal of helping young women see if their decisions support what they desire for their life.

Ms. Canada shares, “Young women will never want more FOR themselves until they think more OF themselves.”  Help the young women in your life discover their worth!  Help the young ladies in your life discover if the choices they are making reflect the life they want to live!  Young women will create a list of their life goals, attributes they want in their life partner and write them down.  All with the purpose that, when “one day” happens, they can look back at their list to see what’s important to them and determine if the one they think is “Mr. Right” is really “Mr. Not Quite Right For Me.”

Empower the young women in your life by telling them about this free one-day workshop happening in Appomattox:
