SVCC Career Coaches Are Vital to Students

SOUTHSIDE – The Virginia Community College Systems High School Career coaches are a network of community college employees who are based in secondary schools across Virginia. They help high school students define their career aspirations and to recognize community college and other postsecondary programs, including apprenticeships and workforce training that can help students achieve their educational and financial goals.

 The fundamental objective of the Southside Virginia Community College High School Career Coach Program is to empower students to make informed decisions about their career and educational plans and to prepare students for success in postsecondary education and training.  The career coaches bring college to high schools!

 The SVCC service region spans ten counties and one city and there are 11 Career Coaches who work with students in these areas.  SVCC’s team is dedicated to inspiring and leading students in the right direction for a successful future.
