Simple Machines

Recently, the fourth and fifth grade students at Fuqua School created a Simple Machine Amusement Park. The objective of this science project was for students to design an amusement park using their knowledge of force and simple machines. The amusement parks had to be constructed of recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper towels tubes, and other items. As students presented their projects to the class, they explained which simple machines were used in each ride and how the forces changed as movement took place.
