VICTORIA – The Lunenburg County Public Schools Administration and the Lunenburg Sheriff’s Office announced last week that they had another threat that was investigated. After a previous threat that turned out to be a person trying to get someone else in trouble, this past Thursday, October 6, a second threat was investigated.

School and police officials stated, “We learned of a threat this morning at Central High School, but were able to quickly determine the identity of the student who made the threat to friends over a past incident.”

Law enforcement and school officials deemed that the situation did not pose a threat to any schools after the initial investigation. As a result of the initial findings, schools remained open and operated as normal on that day with no closing of schools. School officials said that the parents of the child cooperated and helped to determine that the child was extremely angry over past incidents. Police officials said that charges are pending from the incident.
