Rose Pennell Thomas, age 86, of Keysville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin “Tattoo” Thomas; her parents, Arthur and Ellen Lyles Pennell; brothers, Cleveland Monroe Pennell, and David Pennell; sisters, Beulah Jones and Margaret Nash.

Rose is survived by a sister, Polly Tuck; two brothers, Willie Leroy “Bunkie” Pennell, and Mack Pennell.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016, in Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery, Keysville, Va. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
