CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia football team got a big win on Saturday as they beat Duke and moved back into first place in the Coastal Division of the ACC standings. The UVa defense played extremely well and the special teams got a boost from who else but Joe Reed.

The Charlotte County native continues to move his way up in the record books and up draft boards as Southside Virginia residents root for the local product who is as strong in character off the field as he is making plays on the field.

Reed returned a kickoff in the Duke game for another touchdown after leaving Blue Devil defenders in the dust on the way to a 95-yard score. His great play as a kick returner has earned him midseason All-American honors and this combined with his productivity at WR has him high on NFL draft boards. So far this season he has 42 receptions for 400 yards and four receiving touchdowns while he has 591 yards on 15 kick returns for a whopping 40 yards per return average.

UVa takes on Louisville this Saturday and will need another standout performance from their offensive star to keep their division lead.
