Myrtle Amos Cottle Obituary

Myrtle Amos Cottle, age 95, of Victoria passed away on December 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William H. Cottle, Jr., her loving parents, Bennie W. and Ila R. Amos, her brothers, Kermit E. (Sanford), Wade (Ruth Carol), Richard E. (Doris), James D.(Lucille), and sisters Alease Tripp, Pauline Rutledge, Gladys Boswell, Odelle Hagaman, Jean Haag, and Frances Palmer. She is survived by sisters Estelle Davis, Richmond, Va., Nancy Richardson, Victoria, Va., Betty Motley, Drakes Branch, her brother, Douglas Amos (Mary Frances), her dedicated daughter Claudine McDermott (Ron) Midlothian, Va., her granddaughter, Laura Ormsby, Richmond, Va., her grandson Jonathan McDermott (Chantele) of Billings, Montana, her great-granddaughter Madison of Knoxville, Tn., and many nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was a member of the Victoria Church of the Nazarene and worked for over 20 years at the Victoria Shoe Factory. She will forever be remembered by family and friends for her warm, loving smile and her dedicated service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family will hold a memorial celebration of her life and service to her Lord at a time to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Victoria Church of the Nazarene or to the Ontario Christian Church.
