Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

Our Founding Fathers understood a free people need God to behave, even Jefferson “the Deist!” Self regulation is key to a free and decent society. Those whose world is limited to their own childish egos are dangerous. Absent real teaching families and churches, the public square stripped of all values outside of this world by tyrant judges, the government propaganda centers masquerading as schools, all have flattened the moral imagination of too many of our youth.

Too many parents are two generations away from learning how to discipline in love their own offspring. Mom and step dad or live in boyfriend, or no man, forced by the declining dollar and suppressed wages to  work two and three jobs, or live off welfare, are more in love with their own toys and dogs than their own children. As they have abandoned them to the sofa and their own electronic toys, it is a miracle that 99 point 9 percent of our youth are not consumed with murderous rage.

A growing segment of Americans have been increasingly angry at being betrayed for over 50 years and in spite of Reagan’s presidency. Trump is trying but the deck is stacked. But we don’t go out and kill people. Knowing, even vaguely that there’s a God helps a lot! He is everywhere, loving and demanding the best for us. He somehow mysteriously controls/allows everything to happen, loving us through it all. And at the end of this life will judge us for our free decisions. That and somehow growing up in this imperfect world keeps us in check. Liberals do not grow up.
