Kaylene Harvey Obituary

Kaylene Harvey, 84, went peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 10, 2021. Kaylene was born on January 28, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bessie Miller and Anthony Miller. She is survived by her husband Vernon Harvey and her son Steve Whytsell, daughter Sharon Martinache and sister Lindia Miller. She is also survived by her stepsons Dennis, Wayne and Norman Harvey. She also had 11 grandchildren, Vernon, Chris, Sean, Jamie Joseph, Matt, Patrick, Jacob, Jackie, Andy and Rigel. She had 13 great-grandchildren, Skylar, Brayson, Hanna, Marie, Emily, James, Nicolas, Braden, Sophia, Chance, Patrick, Jesse, Lill Matt. Kaylene was a member of Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for many years.  Kaylene liked to work in her garden and enjoyed quilting and doing puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald and her son Douglas.

The family received friends Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville, Va. Funeral was at Mt. Tirzah Baptist in Charlotte Court House, Va. on Tuesday, December 14. 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with graveside service following. Kaylene asks that in lieu of flowers, donations should go to the Charlotte County Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
