Grumbler Miffed about HRC exclusion

I am upset. I was ignored by the Hillary Clinton group of “super” volunteers. The group calling itself HRC Super Volunteers is worried that reporters will use “sexist code to identify Hillary Clinton.” One of the founders of the group, John West, sent reporters a list of words that should NOT be used to describe Hillary. They are ambitious, calculating, disingenuous, entitled, insincere, out of touch, and over confident. Not only are they all of the above but they don’t want us to use those words.  I am upset because they didn’t send me the list.

logo- government grumblingsAt the the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner “Saturday Night Live” cast member Cecily Strong asked the journalists in the room to stand up and raise their right hand, and instructed them to repeat after her.

“I solemnly swear… not to talk about Hillary’s appearance… because that is not journalism.”  I really thought it was a joke but maybe not.

West went on to say, “You are on notice that we will be watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism this time around,” West warned. “We expect you to exercise restraint and take editorial responsibility.”

Fortunately for me I didn’t get the list so there are no limitations on what West will allow me to write. George Orwell wasn’t just a great writer; he accurately predicted the future in his book 1984.

First I am offended at the blatant sexual discrimination by the HRC volunteers. To claim these words are sexist is sexist. To state that only women are ambitious, calculating, disingenuous, entitled, insincere etc. is sexist.  Bad Mr. West! Don’t you know that anyone male or female can be ambitious, calculating, disingenuous, entitled, insincere, etc.? Mrs. HRC’s husband certainly was and is.

Since I didn’t get the order I am going to take this opportunity to bash HRC. Not only is HRC ambitious, calculating, disingenuous, entitled, insincere, out of touch and over confident, she is one of those who believe “The Gubmit” can make better decisions regarding my life than I.

Don’t get excited. That isn’t sexist or personal since it applies to the majority of our politicians.

HRC believes in open government EXCEPT when it concerns her. She ignores the rules and then simultaneously justifies her decisions and excuses them. Come on Hillary, pick one and stick with it. (That’s personal but not sexist.)

My objections to HRC have nothing to do with her sex or lack of it. My objections are political.

On the other hand I have every right to describe her as a strident, liberal harridan who looks like a homicidal chipmunk.

Sorry, Mr. West. You don’t have the right or authority to determine how I evaluate your golden candidate. She is what she is.

And by the way, don’t you think it is interesting that all of the words you don’t want to be used to describe her are accurate when used to describe her?
