Former Star Value Shopping Center Sold

VICTORIA – Long and Foster Real Estate in Victoria recently announced that a long time empty strip mall location in the town has recently sold.

The announcement stated, “Game changer for our little town.” According to officials from the real estate company, the process of completing the sale of the location at 931 Main Street in Victoria took close to a year to complete.

The location is the former home of the Star Value Shopping Center in the town. According to information from Long and Foster Real Estate agent Lee Smyth, the firm that purchased the location inquired about a piece of property in Kenbridge, but that was not for sale and eventually settled on the Victoria location.

He also gave “Special thanks” to Victoria Town Manager Rodney Newton and head of Lunenburg Economic Development Taylor Newton.  Smyth stated, “This renovation should move quickly.”

He did not identify the firm that purchased the property or what type of business would be moving into the location.
