Eagles Track Impressive at Meet

NOTTOWAY – Prince Edward County High School Track Team members recently participated in a winter meet at Nottoway.

The boys from PE finished first overall at the Nottoway Polar Bear Meet, while the girls had a fourth place finish. Both groups had strong individual performances as well.

Team Scores Boys: Prince Edward 103, Brunswick 84, Nottoway 58, Cumberland 49, Greenville 39, Bluestone 8

Team Scores Girls: Cumberland 96, Nottoway 52, Brunswick 45, Prince Edward 40, Greenville 18, Bluestone 18

Hayat Khan finished first in the 1600 with a time of 4:42. 

Reshaud Brown was first in the long jump at 20’1, second in the high jump at 5’10 and fourth in the 300. 

Jarvin Perkins won the high jump at a height of 6’4. 

Abdul Johnson won the 55 meters, was second in the long jump at 19’3 and third in the triple jump at 37’0. 

Dayland Craft was second in the 500 at 1:16. 

Deontray Woodson was third in the 300 at 38.57. 

Nathan Hamilton was second in the 1000 with a time of 3:12.56.

Saye Woodard won the girls high jump at 5’4, the triple jump at 30’9, while also running the 500 at 1:32.

Laila Jones won the 1000 with a time of 3:49.63.
