Department Thanks Public for Helping Solve B&E Case

Department thanks publicSOUTH BOSTON – Following a recent breaking and entering incident near South Boston, the South Boston Police put out a social media request seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two pictured subjects who are suspects in the crime.

The department was able to make arrests following the incident and stated, “Thanks to everyone who sent or called in tips today. Two arrests have been made and we will send out a press release tomorrow. We are grateful to work for a community that is willing to do their part and help make our community a great place to live.”

The South Boston Police Department, assisted by members of the Halifax/South Boston Regional Drug and Gang Task Force, arrested two individuals in connection with the breaking and entering at Thrifty Tire in South Boston. John Ray Childrey, age 33, was arrested and charged with one count of Breaking and Entering and one count of Grand Larceny. He was held in the Halifax Adult Detention Center without bond. Also arrested was Cameron J. Pinella Eisenstein, age 29. Eisenstein was charged with one count of Grand Larceny and one count of Illegal Possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 Controlled Substance. Eisenstein was also held without bond.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence located on Jefferson Ave. in South Boston. During the execution of that search warrant, numerous items were seized in connection with the breaking and entering.  Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

The South Boston Police Department would like to thank all citizens who called and sent in tips on this case. These tips were instrumental in bringing this case to a close in a timely manner.
