Compassionate Friends Honor Loved Ones

VICTORIA – The Southside Chapter of Compassionate Friends held their 17th Annual 5K walk this past Saturday October 15th to honor loved ones they have lost.

The group gathered together near the Victoria Fire and Rescue building where they took part in the annual 5K event before having refreshments and then doing the annual balloon release ceremony. The balloons that were let go by family members carried the names of each of the children or loved ones that have been taken too soon.

The organization helps any family or family members who are interested in the support and understanding of great people who have suffered the loss of a child or loved one.
