Blackstone Duo Allegedly Involved in “Bonnie and Clyde” Robbery Boyfriend shot and killed by Georgia law enforcement

Details about the disappearance and recent location of Blackstone mother Crystal Griffin Redd continue to come to light after she was picked up by police in Georgia last Tuesday afternoon.

P--Blackstone duoThe mother of two has been missing and not seen by family members for over two months and was also wanted in Blackstone on embezzlement charges after having been caught on camera taking money from Food Lion when helping close during a shift.

The 32-year-old Redd and her live-in boyfriend, Jim Redmond, Jr., had both been missing over the past two months, but shortly after information was released about Redd being picked up, additional information about Redmond came to light.

Redd was apprehended in Georgia after police fatally shot the 28-year-old Redmond at a Georgia Pilot Travel Center. According to reports, Redd was approached by law enforcement after being seen getting out of a vehicle used in an earlier robbery.

The officer determined that Redmond was hiding in the back of the vehicle with a weapon and made attempts to get him out of the car.

Redmond reportedly finally got out of the vehicle with a pistol and witnesses reported that he would not drop the weapon or surrender. He then allegedly pointed the gun toward law enforcement  and was shot by the officers and later died.

According to Georgia media reports, the duo was wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Georgia and was described by law enforcement as “Bonnie and Clyde.”

The embezzlement charges in Blackstone were made as Redd allegedly took money from the safe at the store and then returned to work prior to leaving the location and disappearing on November 20, 2015.

Redmond was not wanted by Blackstone Police but was  wanted by the U.S. Army, and they have him listed as a deserter since 2013.
