Bank Robber Identified, Arrest Warrant Issued

SOUTH HILL – The South Hill Police Department is looking for help from the public in finding a wanted man in connection to the recent bank robbery in South Hill.

The South Hill Police Department has an arrest warrant for Leroy Thomas Beckwith for a bank robbery that occurred on May 12, 2023 in the Town of South Hill, Va.  

On May 12 at 4:23 p.m., Mecklenburg County Emergency Communications was notified that a bank was just robbed in the 800 block of N. Mecklenburg Avenue.

The suspect entered the bank and demanded that the teller give him money. There was no weapon displayed during the robbery and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money from the bank location.
