The Victoria Police Department continues to take a strong stance against drugs in the community. The latest drug related bust took place on February 26, 2017 after Officer M. Gatling made a routine traffic stop in the town.
Officer Gatling observed a 2015 Chrysler four door sedan with defective equipment and initiated a traffic stop at 12:00 am. The driver, Shannon Epps of Farmville was cited for defective equipment and having open alcohol in the car.
Also during the stop, Officer Gatling found two passengers to have drugs in the vehicle. Both passengers were charged with possession of marijuana. The two female passengers were identified as Tabre Thomas and Brianna Johnson of Victoria.
Victoria Police Chief Keith Phillips noted that the officers and overall department continue to work hard to be cognizant of helping reduce drugs in the community during traffic stops and other police related activities.
