Trick or Treat Farmville Style

Even Batman needs a break!

The fall tradition of Halloween in Farmville was a marked success this year. The crowd was obviously bigger this year, and the costumes were cuter than ever. The regular participants, in the form of a few of the Prince Edward County Supervisors, were on hand as usual, handing out candy to a stream of children that more resembled a crowd exiting a stadium after a game. The entire crowd, however, was extremely organized and generally low key. There was a Halloween costume contest held in front of the Court House steps. While it was Halloween, the winner was the cutest two-legged Monarch Butterfly on record, some might say! The Downtown Farmville Halloween Parade is sponsored each year by the Farmville Recreation Department.
