School Board Officers Named to Start 2018

LUNENBURG – The Lunenburg County School Board held their first meeting of 2018 last week and the first order of business was the organizational portion of the meeting.
There have been several recent positive announcements about the LCPS schools and with things appearing to be continuing to move in the right direction, the board members decided that they would continue with the same leadership for the upcoming year.
The chairman of the school board will remain in the hands of Barry Carnes, while Kathy Coffee will also stay in the seat of vice chairman. James Abernathy will remain in the position of clerk while Mary Overby was named as assistant clerk.
