Glenn_WilsonThe search to learn more information about an individual whose body was discovered in a river in Prince Edward County has taken investigators to North Carolina’s Outer Banks. At this point in the investigation, the human remains recovered in 2008 are believed to be 50-year-old Glenn Edward Wilson. Investigators have also determined Wilson worked for a time as a carpenter in Kill Devil Hills and other areas of Dare County, N.C.

“In our effort to find out more information about this individual, our hope is someone will recognize Mr. Wilson’s photo and provide us with more clues about places he worked in the Outer Banks, co-workers who may have known him so we can locate his family and friends,” says Sheriff Wesley W. Reed with the Prince Edward County, Va., Sheriff’s Office. “We are interested in any and all information about this individual, as no information is too insignificant.”

The human remains discovered April 5, 2008, were located in a reservoir in Prince Edward County, Va. Currently considered a suspicious death, the recovered remains had seven tattoos: a leaf/feather on his neck; on his right arm were a confederate flag with a skull and helmet, an eagle entwined with a letter A and a figure of Yosemite Sam; on his left arm were a bulldog and another eagle. One of the most distinctive tattoos was a red heart with two arrows and words written in cursive “I Love you Kelsey always” which was also found on the individual’s left arm.
