Red Oak Man Charged with Possession

On August 29, dispatchers at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a possible domestic disturbance in the Red Oak area.  When deputies arrived a female subject advised them she had been assaulted and threatened with a gun.  Through the investigation deputies located the gun which was said to have been used by the suspect.  Also, deputies found several baggies with different pills in them as well as a baggie with a green plant-like material.  All items were sent to the forensic lab in Richmond for tests.   Arrested was Jaleel Hakim Swint, age 26.  He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a fire arm while possessing a Schedule II substance, and possession of a Schedule II substance.  Swint was placed on a $5,000 bond by the magistrate.
