Lunenburg Youth Baseball League Scholarship Winners Honored

LUNENBURG – The Lunenburg County Youth Baseball League recently presented plaques and honored two former players from their league who were awarded the Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarships for this year.

Dixie Youth Baseball officials including LCYBL President David Clark were on hand for the presentation. He stated, “We congratulate Dalton Ashworth and Justin Hall for being recipients of the Dixie Youth Scholarship!”
Dalton and Justin are the third and fourth players from Lunenburg to receive the scholarship. Brian Nowlin and Colin Dalton are also past winners.
The Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarship is available to high school seniors who have participated at one time in Dixie Youth Baseball leagues. To be eligible, you must have been registered on a Dixie Youth Baseball team participating in a franchised Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc. league prior to reaching the age 13. 

LCYBL officials stated, “We encourage all up and coming seniors to apply for the scholarship.”

League President Clark and the two winners were joined by Dixie Youth Baseball officials Wayne Norton (District Director), Bobby Marshall (Assistant State Director) and Claude Tomlinson (Assistant District Director).
