Longwood Student Still Missing

Angelica, “AJ” Hadsell, an 18-year-old Longwood University student from Norfolk, Virginia remains missing despite the unceasing efforts of Virginia State Police, Norfolk City and Longwood University law enforcement agencies to ascertain her whereabouts.

According to sources, Ms. Hadsell, who has now been missing for nearly two weeks, was last seen in her parent’s home, located in the Tarrallton area of Norfolk around 5:30 a.m. on last Tuesday, March 3. Her parents reported her missing at 9:30 a.m., approximately four hours later. The only evidence or leads that police have had were pieces of Angelica’s cut up debit card found one block from her home by a girlfriend, and a text conversation with her mother, that in hindsight, Mrs. Hadsell admits felt “off” and may well have not been with Angelica after all. Currently, the investigation has determined that her cell phone has been turned off now.

There were conflicting stories circulating at one point last week that AJ had been seen on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond, Va.  The allegations have turned up nothing solid to move forward on, however.

In a brief telephone interview with Mat McWilliams, the Director of Communications and Media Relations at Longwood University, he told the Southside Messenger, “We are doing whatever we can to help in the investigation to find AJ.”  He continued pointedly, “The ultimate goal here for everyone concerned is to find her safe and sound and bring her home. We are, however, following the lead of the Norfolk Police Department in this investigation. Norfolk is, afterall, her home.”

Angelica is about 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She also has a small brown mole under her lower lip.
