Local Minstrel Serenades Neighbors

Last Wednesday some residents of Keysville were surprised to hear the Star Spangled Banner being played on a horn.  The music was coming from the east side of town and drifting across Railroad Avenue to town. A little investigation found Keysville resident Jamiko (Miko) Lambert standing in a friend’s yard  on   Arvin Street playing a saxophone.

Miko started playing in the eighth grade and plays multiple instruments.  He returned to Keysville after two four-year stints in the Marines, and his music returned with him. These days he visits Keysville with his saxophone regularly.

We appreciate the patriotic serenades.  Keep on playing Miko.
