Lewis Advances to Golf National Championship

FARMVIILLE – Emma Lewis, age 15, of Rice, Virginia, finished the Golf Tour powered by Under Amour’s Spring League with huge success.  She will be advancing to the National Championship in July.  The championship will be held at the renowned Walt Disney World golf courses in Orlando, Florida.

The Junior Tour Powered by Under Armour is a national youth golf league for boys and girls ages 6-18.  The golfers compete in six league matches to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and gain points for each finish.  Emma Lewis placed in the top four of each tournament giving her enough points to be the (15–18-year-old) Virginia Beach Champion.  With this accomplishment she will earn free entry into the Summer National Championship.  At the National event, Emma will be competing in two days of Championship golf, on the Magnolia and Palms Disney World Golf Courses.  She will be competing with the other league Champions from across the United States.  At the conclusion of this 36-hour National Event the top eight finishers will be named the Under Armour All American Team.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers will be awarded a crystal Trophy.
