KF Volleyball Teams Earn Second Place in the VCC

kenston-forest-middle kenston-forest-varsity kenston-forest-jvThe Kenston Forest volleyball season is over for the Lady Kavaliers.  The Varsity team advanced to the semifinals of the VCC Tournament defeating the Richmond Christian Warriors.  On Thursday, November 3, the Varsity Lady Kavaliers lost to the Southampton Academy Raiders at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Academy (BSH) where the tournament was held.  The VCC awards were announced at BSH on Saturday, November 5.  Both KFS JV and Varsity teams earned second place for the VCC regular season. Mackenzie Coley, of South Hill, was awarded All-Academic.  Peyton Clary, of Bracey, was awarded All-Tournament Team and 1st Team All-Conference. Mary Katherine Coleburn, of Blackstone, was awarded 1st Team All-Conference.  The Kavaliers ranked 8th in the state and hosted the first round of the state tournament at KFS on Tuesday, November 8 and lost to the Christchurch Seahorses.  KFS Senior Volleyball players are Mackenzie Coley, daughter of Chad and Jannon Coley, Rebecca Hadley, daughter of Mark and Pam Hadley, and Mary Katherine Coleburn, daughter of Billy and Joyce Coleburn.  The Middle School team continues to grow and learn and had a great season as well.

Coach Katie Bellairs led the team with Assistant Coach Matthew Norton.
