KENBRIDGE – Kenbridge officials continue to work on and move forward on a walking trail in their town. The project was initially introduced by Kenbridge Mayor Emory Hodges. He noted that this would be another activity for town residents and even people visiting the area.

Victoria officials have a walking trail that extends from their town park in both directions and Mayor Hodges had noted previously that he would like to see the trail eventually extend all the way from one town to the next along the old railroad locations.

Kenbridge Town Manager Robyn Fowler reported recently that the proposed trail has been surveyed from the Barnes area to Broad Street. She also said that field work is complete in that area, but the plat still needs to be drawn for the project.

The town has been working over the past year to procure easements along the route in order to move forward on the project.
