Joyce Vassar Moon Obituary

Joyce Vassar Moon, age 82, of Saxe, Va., passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017.  She is survived by two daughters, Shannon M. Stanley (Butch) of Charlotte C. H. and Audrey M. Tuck (Mickey) of Keysville; one son, Charlie Donald Moon (Michelle) of Charlotte C. H.; two grandsons, Daniel Styers and Jerry Lee Moon; one granddaughter, Gina Stanley Newcomb (Larry); three great-grandchildren, Cody Newcomb, Amber Newcomb, and Hannah Newcomb; two sisters, Mary Tharpe of Mt. Laurel, and Mabel Hall of Evington; and her faithful companion, Spot.  Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy D. Moon, and her grandson, Michael E. Styers.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Southall Memorial Methodist Church, Saxe, Va., with interment in Saxe Cemetery.  The family received friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
