‘Green Machine’ Takes Second Place in SVSC 3v3 Tournament U16 Group

Charlotte County Youth Soccer gathered six U16 players together to participate in the second annual Southern Virginia Soccer Club’s 3v3 Tournament in Clarksville, on Sunday, October 2. The team affectionately known as the “Green Machine”, consisting of kids ages 12-14, took on noticeably larger and older players to still walk away with the second place finish in the tournament. The team would be the winners of Group 1 and would go on to play against the second place winners of Group 2 in the semi-final game. CCYS would win the semi-final game in overtime, which put them in the tournament final. In the end, the team would come up just short of the tournament win in the last round of play, to finish second overall in the tournament for the U16 age group.
