LUNENBURG – With Lunenburg County COVID-19 cases continuing to rise and reaching into the twenties now, concerned citizens will have a chance to be tested for free. Lunenburg County Administrator Tracy Gee said this week that the county had been working with a community volunteer group and the Piedmont Health District to set up the free drive-through COVID-19 testing site at CHS on June 27.

The Virginia Department of Health is hosting the Drive-Thru community testing on June 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is being held at Central High School located at 131 KV Road in Victoria.

While the service is free, the tests will be on a first come, first served basis. There is no appointment or insurance needed to be tested, but participants are asked to wear a mask, remain at least six feet from other people and tell healthcare providers if you are having any symptoms.
