Farmville Town Council Welcomes Newly Elected Member-At- Large 

In a special election on Tuesday, August 19, the Farmville Town Council welcomed Daniel E. Dwyer as their newly elected member-at-large.  Dwyer received 397 votes making him the choice of 51.69% of voters.  Other candidates ranked as follows:

• Carl U. Eggleston, 166 votes   21.61%

• Robert M. Glenn, Jr., 45 votes   5.86%

• Jack E. Houghton, 93 votes   12.11%

• R. Rhodes Martin, Jr. 64 votes   8.33%

• Write-in, 3    votes   0.39%

Farmville Town Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the second floor of the Farmville Town Hall, unless otherwise noted.  The public is invited to attend.
