Farmville Business Owner Attacked, Assaulted

On November 13, 2014 Farmville police responded to a robbery at Mickey 7 in the 300 block of N. South Street.  The call was received at 7:29 p.m.

The owner of the business reported that three males approached him in the parking lot at closing time and displayed a handgun.  The victim was then severely assaulted by the assailants, who fled the scene towards the north in the direction of Depot Street.  Items were taken from the victim.  The victim was transported to Southside Community Hospital for his injuries.

The suspects were seen crossing Main Street near the Rails to Trails when a white Ford pickup truck narrowly missed hitting them.  Police are looking for the driver of this vehicle to see if he/she can add any details.  Anyone in the area of this crime seeing something suspicious, or with any helpful information, is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Chris Moss at 434-392-2109.
