An inaugural 9/11 Honor and Remembrance Ceremony was held Monday at the Farmville Fire Department. The event, sponsored by the American Legion Jack Garland Post 32 was held to remember those who died during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in the plane crash in Pennsylvania. The event featured several retired military and police speakers who gave their first-hand accounts of the day’s events. Photos by Crystal Vandegrift
