Drug Task Force Busts Three Suspects

On January 23, members of the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force (comprised of investigators and Special Agents of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia State Police) executed a search warrant in the Wylliesburg area of Charlotte County. The investigation was assisted by Deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 147 dose units of heroin, multiple hypodermic needles, pharmaceutical drugs, and scales. The investigation led to the arrest of Amy K. Edmonds and James Edmonds of Charlotte for possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. The investigation also led to the arrest of Travis Finch of Mecklenburg County for possession of heroin. The suspects are currently incarcerated at the Charlotte County Jail awaiting bond.
