Drug Task Force Busts Three Suspects

On January 23, members of the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force (comprised of investigators and Special Agents of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia State Police) executed a search warrant in the Wylliesburg area of Charlotte County. The investigation was assisted by Deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

EDMONDSEDMONDS, AFINCHThe search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 147 dose units of heroin, multiple hypodermic needles, pharmaceutical drugs, and scales. The investigation led to the arrest of Amy K. Edmonds and James Edmonds of Charlotte for possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. The investigation also led to the arrest of Travis Finch of Mecklenburg County for possession of heroin. The suspects are currently incarcerated at the Charlotte County Jail awaiting bond. Sheriff Jones “commends the task force and deputies for their work in this case.” The Sheriff also stated that “heroin is a highly addictive and dangerous drug and encourages anyone with information on the illegal sale of narcotics to contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 434-542-5141, the Lunenburg Crime Solvers at 434-696-3100, or the Virginia State Police at 1-800-552-0962.”
