Driver Dies After Head-on Collision

A Charlotte County man has died following a vehicle accident on Saturday night. According to Virginia State Police the crash occurred around 7:21 p.m. on Route 608, west of Route 633. A 1993 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was traveling along Route 608, when it crossed the centerline and struck head-on a 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by  Irving L. Goode, 46, of Wylliesburg. Goode was transported to Carilion Hospital in Roanoke, Va., where he died later that night. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
