Donald Melville Dodge Obituary

Saxe, Va.

Mr. Donald Melville Dodge of Saxe passed away November 16, 2016.  He was born in Norfolk, Va. on May 17, 1945 and was 71 years old. He was the son of the late Clayton Thomas Dodge and the late Audrie Catherine Mason Dodge. He was married to Rachel Marie Dodge who survives.

He was a Veteran of the Naval Reserves and a retired police officer in Florida.

Mr. Dodge is survived by his wife, Rachel Marie Dodge, of the home; two sons, Donald Dodge and wife Rae Lynn of Wisconsin, and Michael Dodge and wife Deborah of Lakeland, Fl.; one daughter, Kristin Dodge of Lakeland, Fl.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two stepdaughters, Kathryn Lacks and husband Joey of Randolph, Va. and Sissy Damron and husband Lee of Shiloh, Ga.; three step grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Robinson of Orlando, Fl. and Pat Skinner of Mulberry, Fl.; and one brother, Paul Dodge of Saxe, Va. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Dodge.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at 268 Tatem Road, Saxe, Va. with the Rev. Donnie Dodge officiating.
