Dedication of the Community Mural Held

The new mural depicting Farmville as a two-college town was dedicated last Friday.

This mural is located at the intersection of 3rd and Main street, on the wall on the side of the building where Foggy Bottom Vapez is located and was hand painted by Joe Giles Signs.

This mural was one of Farmville Downtown Partnership’s major projects of the year. It was made possible by a collaboration with Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College to celebrate Farmville being a two-college town.

“If you look at the mural you will see that it really epitomizes what the mission of the partnership is,” said John Miller, president of the Downtown Partnership.” It is a collaboration of the county, the town and both Longwood University and Hampton-Sydney college.
