Deck Your Halls! Clubs Search For Best Decorations in Keysville

The Keysville Ruritan Club and the Keysville Garden Club are sponsoring a Christmas Decorating Contest on Wednesday, December 4. Judging will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will include the town of Keysville and a five mile radius around the town.

Both businesses and residences are encouraged to enter. Enter by calling Lillian Duffie at 434-736-9505 or Elsie Myers at 434-736-9665. You must call by noon on Wednesday to enter.

For private residences, decorations should be in scale and artistically designed to compliment the residence and some fresh materials should be used. A concealed spotlight is required for viewing purposes. For businesses, fresh materials and the spotlight are not required.

Materials on the State Conservation List, such as mistletoe, running cedar, and American Native Holly should NOT be used.

Categories are Door and Window; Religious or yard scene; Novelty; and Overall. Ribbons will be awarded to deserving entries, and a tri-color ribbon will be given to the Best in Show.
