Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Robbery, Break-In

CHARLOTTE COUNTY – According to reports from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, October 16, about 10:30 p.m., the Dollar General store in Wylliesburg was robbed. Two subjects entered the store wearing masks and gloves; one of the subjects was armed with a firearm, the other with a knife. Two employees were told to sit on the floor. An unknown amount of money was taken and nobody was injured.

Additionally, on Friday, about 10:45 p.m., the Scuffletown Grocery was broken into. The front door glass was broken and two suspects were seen running from the store wearing dark colored hoodies. Virginia State Police assisted with this investigation, providing a K-9 track dog. The suspects were tracked a short distance to where they had a car parked. An unknown amount of money and cigarettes were taken.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to call the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and ask to speak to an investigator. A reward will be given for the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
