Chargers Cheer Team Season Ends at Regionals

The Central Cheer team had a terrific year after making it to the Regionals last weekend.

LUNENBURG -The Central Chargers Cheer team traveled to East Rockingham High School on Halloween to compete in the 1A/2A Regional Cheer Competition after qualifying the previous week at the Conference event.

The Chargers were not able to advance to the State competition, but Head Coach Jean Kunath stated, “The squad worked extremely hard and did a great job representing Central. The competition in 2A is extremely intense. Sadly, we had a few mistakes that ultimately made the difference in our placement, but it was still a great season. We appreciate all of the support from our parents, the Boosters, and our Charger fans. Coach Jessica Watson and I are so proud of this amazing group of girls.”
