Central JV baseball takes home game against Prince Edward

The Central Chargers JV Baseball team has put together several big wins with a victory over William Campbell this past Monday and a win at home against Prince Edward on Tuesday night.

The Chargers would get on the board early on against Prince Edward with four runs in the first inning. Noah Dunbar would single, Micajah Paynter singled, Jackson Dalton was hit by a pitch and John McGrath doubled with all four players scoring. Austin Hall also had an RBI single in the inning.

With Central up 4-1 early on, they added three more runs in the second inning as Dunbar and Austin Alphin walked, Jackson Parsons singled and Dalton singled to put Central up 7-1.

Prince Edward would get a little offense going in the third inning as Brandon Orange and I. Daily both reached base and scored to give the Eagles three runs after three innings.

The game would continue to be one sided as Alphin would triple in the bottom of the third inning, Dalton followed that up with a double and McGrath reached base with a walk. Hall had another hit as he doubled in two runs and the Chargers would extend their lead.

The fifth inning would be the final inning of the game as Central got Dunbar and Paynter on base to start things off. That was followed up by three straight singles from Alphin, Parsons and Dalton to give Central the slaughter rule 13-3 win.

Central got a strong effort on the mound from Cary Parrish and Austin Alphin as the JV Chargers split the season series with the Eagles with both teams winning at home.
