Bee Sends Driver Into Utility Pole

On June 2 at around 1:05 p.m., a Charlotte Court House woman luckily escaped injury after running the 1997 Nissan Maxima she was driving off the road, striking a utility pole.
According to Virginia State Trooper Brian Meeks, Marquita Brown was traveling towards Cullen on 47 when she reported that a bee flew in her window. Brown tried to swat the bee, causing her to run off the right-hand side of the road into a utility pole.
Brown was charged with failure to maintain control of her vehicle and no one was injured in the incident.
Trooper Brian Meeks was the investigating officer.
