BROOKNEAL – The sixth annual Bluegrass, Barbecue & Brew Festival at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill will be held Saturday, November 5, beginning at 11 a.m.
The annual event combines a love of history with a love of music, barbecue and Virginia craft beer, wine and cider. The festival brings together the lifestyle of yesteryear with modern, leisurely activities. The intention is for people to fall in love with Southern Virginia and all of the history, culture, food, brews and music it has to offer … embracing the flavors and sounds of Southern Virginia at the home of Virginia’s Passionate Patriot and Fiery Fiddler.
Performing at this year’s festival will be the Lonesome River Band, The Church Sisters and the Davis Bradley Band.
Featured breweries will include Apocalypse Ale Works, Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Chaos Mountain Brewing, Starr Hill Brewery, South Street Brewery, Blue Mountain Brewery and Bold Rock Cidery.
This year’s event will see foods from Drug Store Grill, Clarkboys Kettlecorn, Hardman’s Smoke Stack, Mama Crockett’s Cider Donuts, Snack Wagon Concessions, Favored Flavors – Tasting Shop & Little Bistro.
Also offering arts & crafts for sale will be Simply Stones, Winding Road Studio, Stella’s Knits, Randy Williams Walking Sticks, Ellis Farm at Winterpock, Home of Ellis Farm Soaps, Lula Roe w/Chandler, Mark Kay Cosmetics and many more.
Tickets for this year’s events will be $20 in advance or $25 at the gate for Tasting Tickets and $15 in advance or $20 at the gate for Music Only Tickets.
