A plea, in the form of letters to the school’s baseball alumni, was recently sent out by Randolph-Henry’s athletic director Chris Holt. Holt along with Coach Bankston and Coach Allen, identified a need for an infield renovation for the field that has seen a tremendous amount of play and traffic over the years, and reached out to former Randolph-Henry High School baseball players and the community to help fulfill the need.

“We are thankful for the support we have received from our baseball alumni,” said Holt. “It is obvious that these former players were positively impacted during their time in the program.”

Anderson Lawn Care Services began work Monday of this week on the 30-year-old field, which was in desperate need of repairs. The work which is set to be completed by Friday, will bring the field back to a pristine condition, suitable for R-HHS baseball players and their opponents.

“Progress is always exciting!” continued Holt. “This renovation will allow for a much safer, more ‘true’ playability for our student-athletes.”
