Cheryl Deloise Edmunds, age 53, of 1130 Mecklenburg Street, Victoria, was sentenced recently in Lunenburg Circuit Court to 25 years in prison on five felony convictions of Distribution of Marijuana with all suspended except one year to serve.
Two male associates of the same household, Darius Rudy-Vaughan Moss, age 25, and Anthony Warren Marrow, age 42, were previously convicted and sentenced earlier this year for distribution of marijuana from the same location.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Clement, the defendant sold about one ounce of marijuana for $130 on each of five different dates from December 2013 through February 2014 in an investigation conducted by the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force under the supervision of Lunenburg Deputy Sheriff Adam Martin.
Clement said the active sentence is within the recommendation of the Sentencing Guidelines.
In addition to the time she will serve on the Lunenburg convictions, the defendant will be subject to conditions of good behavior for 25 years, supervised probation for one year, counseling, warrantless searches for five years, and restitution to the Virginia State Police for the “buy-money” and “informant’s fees” in the amount of $1,278.45.
