According to a press release, on March 21, “Officer Tommy Galbreath of the Drakes Branch Police Dept. noticed a vehicle come through the town at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle. When he approached the car the suspect advised him he was a U.S. Marshal and was wearing a ball cap with Police on it and had a vest with ‘Marshal’ on it. He advised the officer that he was on the way to one of the schools and that his brother had collapsed, he was let go and later investigation revealed he was not affiliated with the Marshal Service.”

It was also confirmed that on two separate occasions, Miller approached Charlotte County Deputies, stating he was a corrections officer and another deputy noticed a blue light in the vehicle Miller was driving. Miller proceeded to tell the deputy he was an undercover drug agent out of Richmond, Va.
